A man was killed by a sharp weapon in a clash between two groups of Awami League after the `peace rally` in front of Golap Shah Mazar in Gulistan of the capital. However, his identity is not known. He is about 25 years old. At least 4 people were injured. One of the injured is identified as Rony. They are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The incident happened on the west side road of Golap Shah Mazar in Gulistan at around 6 pm today, Friday (July 28).
Officer-in-charge of Paltan police station OC Salauddin confirmed the incident and told that a person who was seriously injured in the clash died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
In charge (inspector) of DMCH police camp Md Bacchu Mia with reference to the doctor confirmed the death of the young man.
He said that the young man has a sharp weapon injury on his left leg. The condition of the other four is critical.
